Join Arts + Public Life for a first look at Intentionality, 1960, a new exhibition by Chicago artist Candace Hunter and the latest chapter in her ongoing project, 50,831 +/– Dreams.

Taking the construction of the Dan Ryan Expressway and the Black communities displaced in its path as a point of departure, the exhibition considers how histories of displacement continue to shape relationships to home, memory, and belonging on Chicago’s South Side.

Presented as part of Chicago Exhibition Week, the First Look offers an early opportunity to experience the exhibition ahead of its September 24 opening. Free and open to the public. Arts Incubator at Arts + Public Life, 301 E. Garfield Blvd.
