Magic Hour

About the event
About the exhibition

There is a fleeting moment each day when light transforms the familiar into something new, a Magic Hour, reminding us that light and that a moment in time do not simply illuminate; they alter perception. As both subject and metaphor, the Magic Hour exhibition considers how creative work functions as a record of the moment in which it is made. Every piece serves as a snapshot of a particular moment, carrying visible and invisible traces of the world from which it emerged.

While each artist approaches their work from a unique perspective, all creative expression bears the imprint of the time in which it is made. No artwork exists in isolation. Cultural shifts, personal experiences, technological change, and the social atmosphere of a given moment inevitably find their way into the creative process. Like layers of sediment recording environmental conditions over time, artworks become records of the forces that shaped them.

As a gallery, Magic Hour is equally concerned with visibility. The name speaks not only to light, but also to exposure and discovery, creating space for artists and creators that deserve to be seen and heard.
