Sawhorse is pleased to present Own Who You Are, a solo exhibition by Jesse Bond. A maximalist installation, Bond transforms the space into an overwhelming world of furry bodies, rhinestones, family portraits, beauty supplies, food, hookahs, fly zappers, and homemade materials. Emerging from Bond’s interest in questions of post-humanism and its expression in incredibly online aesthetics, the exhibition considers what it might mean to treat the body as something endlessly customizable; to be built, dressed up, bedazzled, fried, copied, pasted, damaged, repaired, remade.
