LATITUDE is a nonprofit digital lab, community arts space, and gallery located in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood. Entering our 15th year of operation, LATITUDE is a place where image-making is practiced as a shared public process. We support photographers, artists, students, educators, and enthusiasts through access to professional tools, mentorship, education, exhibitions, and public programming.

At the center of LATITUDE is our digital lab, which provides access to high-end printing and scanning equipment, as well as 35mm and 120 color negative film processing. Through our Artist in Residence program, workshops, and ongoing arts programming, we create opportunities for artists to learn from one another, develop their practices, and engage with a broader creative community.

Our newly opened gallery space expands our commitment to supporting image-based practices, presenting exhibitions that engage with images as a way of understanding, questioning, and shaping the world around us.
