Twelve Ten is a contemporary art gallery located on Chicago’s northside. Founded in 2023 by Joshua Johnson, the gallery’s program focuses on the question of technique, understood in the broadest possible sense. It asks not only what artists do, but what they come to know through doing: how making becomes a form of understanding through process, materials, concepts and context.
The gallery presents artists from Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and internationally. In addition, we maintain a partnership with The Brooklyn Institute for Social Research, and host a variety of courses, lectures, and intellectual engagements in topics across the arts, social sciences, and humanities.
